About the project
TORNADO DANCE is a living atlas of dance in six languages: twelve worlds, from classical ballet to the dances of the peoples of the world.
What it is
A non-commercial educational and research project. There is no advertising, no tracking and no fees for visitors or for the institutions we write to.
How we work
Each world has a history, notable people and sources. We ask dance institutions to review how their area is presented. Corrections are made, credited to the source and listed publicly on the corrections page.
Images
The illustrations are AI-generated artistic images, not photographs, and are labelled as such. Group scenes are checked image by image for faces, hands and proportions.
Community
Professionals and enthusiasts can sign in with an e-mail link, write in the community and report problems. New members’ posts are reviewed by a moderator.
